Learning spaces that bring the natural sciences to life

For the IGS Rheinzabern, specialized classroom furnishings were installed that specifically support the school’s focus on the natural sciences. The equipment in these specialized classrooms creates the right conditions for instruction in which hands-on experimentation and practical work play an important role. In conjunction with the science-focused classes and associated collection areas, a functional environment for biology, chemistry, and physics was created. The workstation and utility solutions implemented by Hemling are specifically designed to integrate seamlessly into the school’s educational and spatial concept.

Power and Lighting Combined

The LS TopFIX ceiling distribution system combines technical utility distribution for specialized rooms with an integrated lighting system. This eliminates the need for separate on-site lighting and allows the utility distribution—including lighting—to be implemented as a coordinated, complete solution.

Technology Packed into a Compact Package

The media cabinet combines a sink and a power supply unit into a single compact unit. This allows important utility functions to be consolidated in a space-saving manner and seamlessly integrated into the classroom furnishings.

Mobile Printouts

The mobile fume hoods are connected, as needed, to a designated connection point on the LS TopFIX ceiling supply system. Because the power and air supply come from above, unsightly cables and lines are kept off the floor, and the work area remains fully accessible.
