For the Munich-Trudering High School, Hemling designed the furnishings for the science classrooms of a modern high school with a focus on science and technology. The laboratory furnishings were tailored to the requirements of hands-on instruction and combine technical infrastructure with high-quality design that complements the room layout. The LS TopFLEX ceiling supply system is a central component of the equipment. Custom details such as sound-insulated cabinet fronts, illuminated laboratory sinks, and electric laboratory tables with beech-veneered plywood blend seamlessly into the modern school building, creating a functional and aesthetically pleasing environment for science instruction.

Ceiling Supply Meets Exhaust Technology

The LS TopFLEX ceiling supply system is complemented by a directly adjacent, floor-to-ceiling trapezoidal exhaust vent. The light-filled design ensures transparency and good visibility during experiments, while also blending harmoniously into the room’s overall design.

Lighting and Acoustics in Detail

The built-in lighting in the laboratory sinks provides targeted illumination of the work areas. Sound-insulating cabinet fronts reduce disruptive noise while also contributing to pleasant room acoustics during specialized classes.

Natural Materials for Electrical Lab Benches

The electrical lab tables, featuring beech-veneered plywood tabletops, combine functional workspaces with a natural design. The wood creates a deliberate contrast to the technical lab equipment while also echoing the materiality of the room’s design concept.
